First Baptist Kid's Care offers a preschool only program ( 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. )

Extended Care program ( 7:00 a.m.  - 5:00 p.m. ) Monday - Friday

We offer a two day, three day, or five day program.

Fees are based on the program that you choose.

Preschool fees are due monthly. Extended care fees are due weekly.

Mitzi Proffitt

Director/Teacher

Mitzi Proffitt has been teaching in a pre-school setting for over 30 years. She has been with First Baptist Kid's Care since 1996. She has been the assistant director 

for 12 years and director for the past 9 years. Mitzi received her CDA from Walters State Community College. She is married to David and they have one daughter named Kristin, who is a graduate of King University and teaches in Bristol, Tennessee City Schools. They also have three cats : Annabelle, Lily and Molly. They have been living in Blountville for the past 19 years.

Auderia Campbell

Assistant Director/Teacher

Auderia is beginning her 15th year at First Baptist Kid's Care. She started out as an afternoon assistant for a year and half. She was then asked to teach in the 3 year old class, where she has continued to be for 13 1/2 years. She has been the assistant director for the past 9 years. When she is not in school, she enjoys spending time with her husband Travis and their children Nathan (23) and Rachel (20) and their two dogs, Abby and Sadie. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and shopping. 

Judy Jackson

Teacher

Judith Jean Jackson (Judy) was born and raised in Norton, Virginia by wonderful, loving Christian parents. She is a graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a degree in Elementary Education.  She taught in public schools in Wise County School System for 7 years as a sixth and seventh grade Language Arts Teacher. She's married and has been blessed to be the  mother of three children- Jeannie, Whitney and T.J. She is also the very proud "Meme" to three grandchildren, Kyra, Aliya, and James. She has been a pre-school teacher for 17 years.
